“Dr. Paul T. Strong, MD, MPH, FRCPC, is an internal medicine doctor in the Cleveland Clinic, Cleveland Veterans Affairs Medical Center, Cleveland Clinic Medical Center and the Cleveland Medical Center Cleveland Clinic.
He is the author of, “The Medicine of Life: The Science of Healing the Unhealed Body,” a bestselling book.
He has been a member of the Board of Directors of the International Association of Family Physicians since 2008.
Strong is a board member of many international organizations including the American College of Physicians, American Heart Association, American Academy of Pediatrics, American Society for Nutrition, American Cancer Society, American Psychiatric Association, National Heart, Lung and Blood Institute, National Cancer Institute, American Association of Clinical Oncology, American College for Cardiology, American Lung Association, International Association for Clinical and Translational Science, and American College Of Surgeons.
He also serves as a board chair for the American Cancer and Stroke Foundation.
Strong received his medical degree from Cleveland Clinic in 1982, and his M.D. from the Cleveland VA Medical Center in 1995.
He completed his internship in internal medicine at the Cleveland Veterans and Military Medical Center (CVMC) in 1999.
Strong earned his medical residency from the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA), and his medical fellowship from the VA in 2003.
Strong holds a degree in physiology from the Harvard Medical School and a M.S. in medicine from the Massachusetts General Hospital, Boston.
Strong serves on the board of the Cleveland Children’s Health Program, a nonprofit medical care provider, as well as the advisory board for the International Society for Thoracic Surgery and Thoracotomy, a professional organization of surgeons and orthopedic surgeons worldwide.
He serves on various advisory boards for the Cleveland Clinics, including the Veterans Affairs and the American Medical Association.
He earned his doctorate in internal health from Boston University School of Medicine.
He and his wife, Tami, have three daughters and three grandchildren.
